The academy is located in Pariyaram adjacent to the National Highway 17 between the towns Taliparamba and Payyanur. It is 31 KM north of Kannur City. Pariyaram can be reached by the following routes.


A place that associates itself with Hindu God, Lord Krishna and the great King Solomon who stopped here to collect timber to be used for the construction of the Temple of the Lord at Jerusalem. The latter connection with King Solomon finds mention in the Periplus of the Erythraean Sea, an ancient Greek work. To add to this is the praiseworthy remarks of the renowned traveller, Marco Polo, who called it a "great emporium of spice trade".


Kottiyoor is small town situated in Kannur district bordered to Wayanad district in Kerala state, India. A very old Siva temple situated there attracts lakhs of devotees every year [citation needed]. The Bavali river, Paalukaachi hill, all are tourists places in kottiyoor. The temple festival (utsav) begin every year by mid MAY and lasts for 28 days. Ilaneer Veppu or submitting tender coconuts before the deity is an important ritual during the festival. Thousands of tender coconuts brought by hundreds of devotees from different parts of Malabar is submitted on a special day. The very next day is Ilaneerattam. On this day, main priest pours coconut water collected from the tender coconuts on the idol.

Located at a distance of around 20 kilometers from Kannur, the Parassinikadavu Sri Muthappan Temple is a very popular pilgrim site and is visited by many devotees on a daily basis. This temple is supposed to have been built by the people of this town who felt the divine presence of Lord Shiva amongst them in the form of a small child. After various miraculous incidents, they built a temple that came to be known as Sri Muthappan temple.


The Snake Park, which is a subsidiary unit of the Pappinisseri VishachikitsaSociety, is the only one of its kind in the State and perhaps the whole of India. The park is dedicated to the preservation and conservation of snakes, most of which are becoming extinct gradually. There is a large collection of poisonous and non-poisonous snakes.


The Science Park will be opened on all the days from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Prefixed demonstrations and shows will be conducted at Science Park. We also provide faclity to book timings and demonstrations as per requirement of group visitors.


Rajarajeshwara Temple (also called the Brihadeshwara Temple) in Kerala. Located at Taliparamba in the Kannur district, this beautiful Shiva temple is a perfect example of Chola architecture. The Rajarajeswara Temple is regarded as one of the 108 ancient Shiva temples of Kerala and has a prominent place amongst the numerous Shiva temples in South India.
